Could this platonic love that we have turn romantic?

We talk about everything, have been friends for over a year and he tells me I look great all the time. He wants to come travelling with me when I go and even said he loves coming home to me rather than having a complicated relationship. (He has been alone for a couple of years). The confusing part is that he recently confided in me that he is gay. He said I am his perfect match...he has tried with girls & guys but finds relationships difficult so now he stays alone. Actually he has moved to share a place with me and we do everything together. He is always telling me that all his friends think I am beautiful & think we are a couple. He has just told me a story of a good friend of his who had a platonic friend for a few years & now they've realised they're in love! Does he feel for me?
