Do I owe my neighbor money? Short Story?

This is what I'll say. Your neighbor should have CONFIRMED everything with you before she bought the ticket; but I'm sure she has her own reasons why she paid for you in advance. Maybe the money was due 4 weeks ago, and she paid it instead of bugging you. Maybe she feels you should have went ahead and paid her like you agreed to..Whatever the case--I'm a big believer in doing small things to Keep The Peace with neighbors, co-workers & family members. Why? Because these are the people you have to see on a constant basis whether you like it or not. So, theres no use in having bad blood with people you have to see everyday. So, Go ahead and pay the $45...Dont let $45 cause hurt feelings between you and your neighbor, to the point where there's a big rift and you no longer like each other or speak. My aunt used to be best friends with her nieghbor--the neighbor came over for dinner all the time, their daughters were close friends. Then, one day a harsh word was spoken, feelings got hurt--and they havent spoken or visited each other in about 15 years. Please dont let $45 cause that to happen. Pay it and Move On. Put it in her mailbox with a small note, and move on. Life is TOO SHORT.
