Is Hugo Chavez a threat to the US?

I've seen a few posts about Hugo Chavez today. It seems like he is getting the ire of a few of you askers/answerers. For those of you who don't like him, do you actually think that he is a real threat to the United States? I personally think that though he is no friend of the US, he isn't really a threat. The way I see him, he is just a little man rattling his saber, trying to look like he is taking on the US with all of his tough words. This may make him look good to some of his constituents, but I don't see him as a danger. His only real power comes from Venezuela's oil wealth, so maybe he can drive up the price of gasoline. But a security threat? No.
