they want you to say what Edgar Allen Poe was saying about the politics, religion and social situation of the time that the story was written in. In other words, was whatever Poe saying make the times seem like good times, or bad times, and do you think he agreed with the way things were done during that time, or was he trying to make fun of the time. It might help if you gave me the name of the story.
